To start you need black glue, I used the left over glue from our Black Glue and Watercolor Frogs. Basically, mix black paint with white glue. Be careful to not add to much paint.
Next to make the name outline I printed it out using a simple print shop program. Then I traced it with the black glue and set aside to dry. If I had more time I would let the children outline themselves.
Now let them paint with their watercolors! I am keeping ours up on the wall for all of September!!
So after finishing our projects I found two things, be careful not to add to much paint and when tracing long names use as little glue as possible to avoid the letters running together. That being said I loved the way they turned out!
