Supplies Needed:

  • recycled tissue paper cut in strips
  • starch and water mix
  • colored construction paper
  • wax paper
  • brush

I love to decorate the windows in the classroom this was a fun way to use some of my recycled tissue paper from Christmas. I started by cutting the tissue paper into strips. Using the colored construction I cut out the egg shape hallowed out. The art tray was lined with wax paper. The frogs placed there colored egg on top of the wax paper and painted the center with the starch water mix. I like to a few teaspoons of water to the starch so it’s not to thick. Now for the fun laying the tissue paper strips across the egg.

Let the eggs dry and gently pull them away from the wax paper and then cut around the edge. They looked so beautiful in our preschool classroom windows.
