The Hand Print Lorax
Supplies Needed:
- orange paper
- yellow paint
- Goggle Eyes (different sizes)
- brown pom pom
- glue
- container & brush
This was a hands on project for me so not many photos sorry. Also the yellow paint did not show up like I hoped so next year I may have them stamp yellow hand prints on white paper cut out and then attach to the orange paper. Either way they still look cute. I love to give choices, this way they can make it their own. I added google eyes of different sizes and black paint, this way they could choose their eyebrow color (yellow or black) and different size brushes! To complete we painted one hand at a time to form the “mu stash” then they used glue to attach the eyes and nose. Paint to form the eyebrow, the results were very fun!
The Truffla Tree
Supplies needed:
- Tissue Paper cut into squares
- pipe cleaners in yellow and black
This was a fun and simple craft they completed after their Lorax. This is very similar technique to the spring flowers, so the kids were familiar with the process and did most of the work them self! Twist the pipe cleaner together to form the trunk of the tree. Then stack 3 or 4 squares on top of each other and pinch in the middle. Wrap the pipe cleaner around the center then fluff up the tissue paper by pulling it apart!
