As we begin with the Letter O we start a new month and our classroom themes are Love, The Fruit of the Spirit, Valentines Day and Community Service Workers. That’s a lot going on I like to give each class day a new community service worker theme. This week was Officer (Police), Construction workers and Fire Fighters! So you will see this theme in our table, floor and science centers!

After studying the Orange, how it feels, smells we vote! The Frogs love giving their opinion, we have started doing this for every Letter of the Week. No this kids look forward to the question of the Week and casting their vote!

Orange Scented Play Dough

Using the basic play dough recipe I added the Orange Scent to the orange food coloring. There are many different ways to play with it. First adding some leaves we had an orange grove. Adding Popsicle sticks for building on Construction worker day. For community service they baked with vegetable cookie cutters. The grand finale a Birthday Cake / Pie for Dr. Seuss Birthday!
