Lets get started:

Cut your toilet paper roll in half, each half will make one flower so you may cut as many as you like. To fill our vase we cut two rolls for a total of four flowers. To keep the mess contained I use these plastic trays I was lucky to find for free from a doctors clinic. On the tray for each child I set out four coffee filters, four toilet paper half rolls watercolors and an eye dropper. I found to get the brightest color the less water you have the better. Then they are off on their own adding colors, when finished I had them roll the toilet paper roll in the left over watercolors on the tray. Then set aside to dry.

To assemble your flower I used a hole punch to make a hole in the center of each coffee filter. Then using a small bead with a hole we threaded the pipe cleaner through the bead and then folded down to create your flower center. Next take the bottom of the pipe cleaner and pass it through the hole of you coffee filter and then add your toilet paper roll. When pulling your flower through be careful to not pull to hard the filters rip easily. Next time I do this I will use a larger size filter so you can pull them farther down into the toilet paper. However, that being said my guys really loved the flat round look and very few pulled them for a fuller look. When finished they made beautiful center pieces for our Mothers Day Party!
