To complete our We Have Heart Preschool Valentines Board we made these cute Hearts! The was a fun, easy but somewhat messy art activity! I found these trays made out of plastic and this kept the mess contained.

I love to see how the art evolved. Simply put they were to watercolor first, then add the glue and finish with a sprinkle of salt. As they added the glue they loved the way the paint moved away, resisted the glue and then how the salt gave sparkle and added patterns. They began pouring on the salt and then flicking the paint on top to watch the reaction. Everyone had their own way of doing it and the results were beautiful although some did take three days to dry!
On the board I added streamers to give the hanging down look and to add their name without writing on their art!
