Surf Into Summer
Preschool Bulletin Board
This year our year end party is a Hawaiian Luau Theme, to accompany our Preschool Classroom Board is Surf Into Summer! The children used tape resistance and sponge stamping to create their own surfboard designs. At circle we read Surf’s Up For Kim0 by Kerry Germain, Keoni Montes · Island Paradise Publishing. The story of a Hawaiian boy who wished to surf with all his heart. Then I took photos of each child we discussed if they wanted to be carrying their board or riding the waves. Great way to end our school year!

When finished with tape sponge the paint mixing colors for added fun and learning. Set aside to dry, then carefully pull the tape off revealing their design! Finish with their photo and add to the board!
