From Head to Toe Hand print Giraffe
Truly there is no better way to start the year than Eric Carle From Head to Toe. For some of my frogs this was their first experience with hand prints. They love the cold, wet tickle of the paint and the excitement to see it become a giraffe.
Supplies needed:
– 1 sheet of white and brown paper
– Glue
– Google eyes
– Brown buttons
– Black, Orange & Yellow Markers
To start I used a print shop program to make my I can do it white page. Then we started by painting their hand and up their arm. While I painted we talked about a Giraffe has four legs one tail and a long neck. then after wiping of the paint I asked whats missing, a head! Then I had them make a fist and we painted it and pressed a print to make the head. At this point I set it aside for the day to dry. When dry I added a sheet of brown paper to the back to give it a frame.
