  1. Parking: This trail is easy to find with it’s own parking lot. However it fills up quickly so to avoid this I would arrive early. On the day we visited the lot was full we just drove up the road a bit and parked along the side with many other cars. You will need to pay when entering the park, the fee is $20 per car we bought one last week for our Spray Park Hike and it’s good for seven days, so we used it for this hike. The road is well marked and nicely paved. It is a two lane road with many vista views so drivers with height issues should be aware! My father is one of those so we say a non Pete friendly road. We took this road all around the mountain it was so beautiful with many areas to stop and hike! We will defiantly be going back!
  2. Restrooms: At the start of the trail there is a great large restroom with flushing toilets! All in our group were very happy with them. All along the road there were many restrooms in the parking lots all in good condition! For this visit bathroom are not a problem!!
  3. The trail is perfect for all ages! On our visit there were families everywhere, enjoying lunch along the river.Taking photos with the big trees. I even saw a father fly-fishing mom rock hunting and child sand castle building! Grandpa’s walking with babies . At one very large upturned tree stump I heard a young boy say ” wow y,wow, wow, wow” I could not have agreed more! The hike itself is short and easy, this give you time for exploring and even swimming in the river. We chose to continue the route to Paradise and stopped at Box Canyon along the way. After every turn in the road the mountain seem to get bigger and closer until at last you end at Paradise! We only had this one day so we passed a lot of fun falls trails, needless to say we will be returning! Two years ago we did the trails from paradise to view them visit my Mt. Rainier National Forest.  Mt. Rainier has so much to offer it’s best if you can stay or camp to make the most of your visit! Below are some photos from the drive Box Canyon and Mirror Lakes!
