My Book Of Seasons
Preschool Weather Book
I love this Preschool Weather activity, My Book Of Seasons! We explore Autumn Wind, Winter Snow, Spring Rain and Summer Sun. When all the books were finished we took time to have each Author read their book at Circle Time. To start I pre printed our Season book pages using a simple print shop program, Summer Sun, Autumn Wind, Spring Rain and Winter Snow. Then using construction paper I assemble our book, as they finished a page I added it to their book.

Start by gluing onto the paper where you would like an umbrella, after placing your liner into the glue add a drop of glue to the center, add the pipe cleaner then fold the liner down into the glue. To create your rain drops simple your finger print in blue ink. In the past I have also used a child’s toothbrush dipped in blue paint then they use their finger to splatter the rain drops great effect, a little messy!
I love the way each one designed their umbrellas! A great book to accompany this art Project is Wake up It’s Spring by Lisa Campbell Ernst.
Summer Sun
This was a fun easy way to create a beautiful sun!
Supplies Needed:
- Yellow / orange Stamp Pad
- White paper
To create your sun simply use your hand print start with orange. I had each child make four hand prints turn the paper after each press to form a circle. Then repeat the process with the yellow stamp pad!
To finish their book I had them sign their name to the cover! I love to see the pride as they read their books to their friends at Circle Time!
